This gallery and brief review is from The Belair Lip Bombs’ gig on 21 July 2023.

The Lip Bombs, playing support for Hobsons Bay Coast Guard (review and pics here), played a set as striking as that of the headliners.

Delivering a solid sound with engaging stage presence, it’s no surprise tix the band’s Brunswick Ballroom return have sold out. The venue is keeping a waitlist.

You can hear and order Lush Life on Bandcamp.

While this article riffs on the track Things That You Did, MELMAG’s fave is Look The Part. Listen to the latter through speakers/headphones with good sound separation if you can; dynamic bass guitar work carries a deep melody you can easily get lost in.
